When the containment field of the Hudson University’s experimental anti-matter reactor becomes compromised, Professor Alice Lungren enters the inner vault to stabilise it before an implosion is triggered; but something goes wrong and the reactor goes into lock-down, trapping the professor inside. Lady Penelope and Parker are en route to the Prime Minister’s charity ball, when FAB 1 is intercepted by the Global Defence Force; Colonel Casey needs help to rescue Professor Lungren – but not from Penelope, from Parker! During the more nefarious days of his career, Parker was the only person to ever - “h’allegedly” - break into this type of secure double-vault – but instead of six hours, he has just three before the implosion kills the professor. Using his trusty bag of kit, Parker starts working his magic on the outer vault, only to find that the defect that helped him before has now been fixed: he can still open the outer and inner vaults, but he won’t be able to close them, meaning that half the city will be wiped out by the implosion. Penelope contacts International Rescue for assistance, and soon Scott and Virgil arrive on site in Thunderbirds 1 and 2. Scott cuts open a section of roof with a plasma cutter, so that Virgil can extract the reactor and move it to an abandoned mine to shield the city when it implodes; however, as Thunderbird 2’s grapple pulls up the roof a metal girder falls free and hits the outer vault; the security system goes into lockdown, trapping Parker and Lady Penelope inside too. As Virgil pilots Thunderbird 2 and its dangerous cargo towards the mineshaft, Scott has just twelve minutes to get his friends and the professor free before the reactor implodes…
