Battlestar Galactica Cast

Now that the Galactica is on its way to rescue the besieged Colonials on New Caprica, the Resistance makes plans to attack the airbase and use the launch keys that Boomer stole from Cylon headquarters to regain control of their captured ships. Meanwhile, Tigh has learnt from Anders that his wife, Ellen, has betrayed the Resistance to the Cylons; when Tigh confronts his wife over her duplicity, she explains that she did it to free him from incarceration; knowing that Ellen can no longer be trusted, Tigh has no choice but to poison her drink, and she dies in his arms… Aboard the Pegasus, Major Apollo is having trouble believing in the success of Admiral Adama’s rescue mission, convinced that his father’s Battlestar is undermanned and outgunned. On New Caprica, the Resistance create a distraction by detonating charges hidden across the colony, throwing the Cylons into disarray; in the confusion, Anders and his men storm the Detention Centre and release the Colonial hostages. Staying at a safe distance, Adama orders the launch of two drones into orbit around New Caprica; detecting the presence of two Battlestars, the Cylon leaders order the launch of all their fighters and prepare for battle, only to discover that the skies are empty – Adama has tricked them. With the Cylon ships all in space, the Galactica jumps into the atmosphere above the colony and launches its fighters, and then jumps back into orbit. Inside the Detention Centre, Anders finds Starbuck in the apartment where she has been imprisoned for the last four months; he tries to take her to safety, but Starbuck refuses to leave without Kacey, and heads back in to rescue her daughter from Leoben. Aboard the Galactica, Adam’s crew attempt to repair the damage caused by the atmosphere jump; as they prepare to engage in battle with the two Cylon baseships, they can only to look on in despair as two more baseships jump into orbit. Realising that they are hopelessly outgunned, Adama is about to give up hope when the Galactica is saved by the timely arrival of the Pegasus – Apollo and his crew have come to join the fight. The evacuation of New Caprica continues, as carrier ships blast off, taking the colonists to safety. However, knowing they are defeated, the Cylon leaders decide to destroy what is left of the colony by detonating a nuclear warhead…
